RINGGOLD, Ga. Catoosa County residents have new protections from cell tower encroachment after commissioners voted to change setback rules and to require justification for placement of towers in residential areas.
As millions of Texans hit the roads this holiday weekend, one Central Texas lawmaker wants to make the roadways safer. Senator Jeff Wentworth, R-San Antonio, proposed a bill that would make it a Class "C" misdemeanor to talk on a cellphone and drive at the same time.
Calling it a "tremendous" day for New Jersey, Gov. Corzine signed legislation Wednesday to borrow $270 million for stem cell research facilities, a step celebrated by lawmakers, advocates and scientists who hope it will lead to finding cures for diseases.
